Dr. Dominic Chan, DC, has been serving the eclectic neighborhood of Commercial Drive in Vancouver, B.C. since 2004. His years of experience have allowed him to see hundreds of different patients from all walks of life.
Dr. Chan’s philosophy when it comes to health and healthcare is based on patient choice and participation. In his clinic, the patient will be given a choice as to how they wish to approach their care. Understandably, some people will only want immediate relief from their aches and pain while others will seek longer, lasting wellness. Dr. Chan’s approach is to provide an overview and recommendations on how treatment could proceed. However, the final decision will always rest with the patient.
Although, he is flexible in many ways, he is adamant about other aspects of care. Namely, every patient will be given exercise and stretching recommendations. Dr. Chan stresses that a patient must understand the importance of “home care” if they wish to experience more complete and timely improvements.
